All About Trends
Newsletter service that teaches how to read charts. Looks closely at support and resistance levels and really tries to educate subscribers on how to identify technical trends. Good stuff.
StockCharts
By far the best free charting software. ‘Nuff said!
NinjaTrader
Terrific trading software. Huge amount of flexibility. This software works with your brokerage account to manage your trades. Check that it is compatible with your favourite broker because they currently do NOT operate with Canadian discount brokers. You still need to subscribe to a data provider (yahoo is free), but this trade management system is spectacular and automatic. If anyone knows of a Canadian broker that works with NinjaTrader please let me know, I’d consider switching.
Stock Screening Software:
Finviz
Free stock screener that is remarkably robust. Finviz tries to be all things visual regarding the financial world. Still need to explore this entire site more – but the screener is darn good.
Cool Stuff
TED Sixth Sense Demo
The future is very nearly here already. This is about a 8 minute video that is totally cool. All for under $350 as a prototype. In a few years this could reach the market at a very affordable price and take over the world. I would like to invest in this just before that happens
